I found informations on different websites, in particular the French website of the minister of foreign and European affairs.

 

All the various official documents that you will need for your studies on Norway:



No Visa


It’s not necessary to apply for a visa for Norway, because there is an exception for persons with a residence or work permit in Norway and others Schengen countries. Thus some countries like France, have an agreement with Norway and the visa is not require; it’s the “Schengen Agreement”.

 

A visa is a document showing that you can enter in Norway for a limited period of up to 90 days.  



Insurance


You must have valid travel and sickness insurance, valid in all the Schengen countries. The minimum coverage of this insurance must be 30 000€.

 



Student Permit


To study in Norway, you must apply for a student permit.  For obtain a student permit you have to enquire at the nearby Norwegian diplomatic or consular representation. Your request will be examined by the national Norwegian service of immigration (Utlendingsdirektoratet). However national from Europe have a dispensation. They can enter in Norway and after register the request. This request must be enquire at the nearby police station.

 

Permit is issued for the time of the studies, but each time it covers only one year. This permit is renewable and it allows working at maximum at part time.

 

Student permit in Norway is free for national Europeans. You don’t have to pay fees.

 


For this student permit you must have:

-         To pass in a University, prestige university-level… for one year.

-         Sufficient financial possibilities.

-         A flat during your studies.

-         To study at full time.

-         To present an exchange program in Norway.

 


At your request you must have to join:

-         An application form for a request to a student permit + a photo.

-         Paper justifying your admission in a school.

-         Registration / Certificate of possibilities.

-         Insurance (private insurance, E application, European card of member of the social security) valid for all the study period.
